These keyed sash locks can be mounted on any sliding window where the checkrails of both the inner and outer sash rest flush, to include sliding windows constructed of aluminum, wood and vinyl. Only with the key inserted into the lock can the thumbturn swivel to open or close. Removing the key will lock the device in whichever position that the thumbturn is facing, either open or closed.
